JAMMU, Oct 4: Former ministers and senior leaders of Democratic Azad Party, R S Chib and Taj Mohiuddin were today felicitated by the party leaders and workers on being appointed as general secretary and treasurer of the DAP.
A function in this connection was organized by senior party leader and former MLA, Th Balwan Singh. The DAP leaders and activists garlanded both the newly appointed office bearers of the party by the DAP Chairman, Ghulam Nabi Azad on Monday. The leaders expressed full faith in the leadership of former J&K Chief Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad.
While speaking on the occasion, the senior DAP leaders lauded the role of Ghulam Nabi Azad as J&K Chief Minister and Union Minister in the past. They said that only Azad has the capacity and capability to lead the J&K state as Chief Minister for better and balanced development. They stated that Azad is the visionary leader and he is the need of the Jammu and Kashmir, under present turmoil when there is governance deficit and unemployment has reached at the peak.
Prominent among those present on the occasion include, former Dy Chief Minister, Tara Chand, former minister Jugal Kishore Sharma, former Dy Chairman Legislative Council, Arvinder Singh Micky, former MLA Th Balwan Singh, Ex-MLA Ashok Sharma, former MLC Subhash Gupta, Vinod Mishra, Vinod Sharma, Masood Choudhary ( Adv), Narinder Sharma, Subhash Bhagat, Rajinder Sharma, Santosh Manhas, Varun Mangotra, Rajni Sharma, Santosh Majotra, Gurmeet Kour and others.
