RRC visits Durga Nagar, takes stock of migrants problems

JAMMU, Feb 12: To take stock of problems of people, Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, M L Raina visited Durga Nagar locality and met a cross section migrants putting up there, besides interacting with some community leaders on the problems being faced by the displaced people living there.
The leaders of Durga Nagar Welfare Committee including its president Roshan Lal Raina, Behari Lal, Makhan Lal Mandal president BJP, Chand Ji Ambardar, president Durga Mandir also highlighted some issues before RRC.
They however expressed their satisfaction over the issuance of State Subject certificates to migrants in a time bound manner. They while apprising him the problems of the migrants living in non camp areas said that it was for the first time that any Relief Commissioner has taken pains in visiting the non camp area and ascertain the problems of inmates there. They demanded construction of more quarters for the rehabilitation of migrants putting up in rented accommodations.
