JAMMU, Sept 9: The Institute of Engineers (India), Jammu Centre celebrated Royal Charter Day by organising a seminar through limited participation as well as virtual mode at Institutional Complex, Channi Himmat, here today.
Er Hamesh Manchanda, Chief Engineer Jal Shakti Department Jammu was the guest of the event wherein engineers from various departments, organisations and senior engineers participated.
Dr Sanjay Khar, Chairman IEI Jammu Centre presented a welcome address, whereas Er Anil Verma, former Hony secretary of IEI Jammu Centre delivered a talk on the history and relevance of the Day under the annals of the Institution.
Later, another seminar was organised on the topic “History of Ranbir Canal’ and “Development Scenario of Jammu” wherein Er Vinod Malhotra, former Development Commissioner, Town Planning Jammu explained the history of the Ranbir Canal, whereas Er PK Nanda, former Hony secretary of Jammu Centre delivered a presentation on development scenario of Jammu.
Er CP Sharma conducted the proceeding of the seminar and presented vote of thanks.
