Roop Nagar Welfare Committee deputation calls on Bali

JAMMU, Apr 23: A deputation of Area Welfare Committee Roop Nagar Housing Colony led by its president Jagdish Chander called on Minister of Forests and Social Welfare Bali Bhagat here today and apprised him of the problems of the area.
As per a release, an eleven point Charter of demands was presented to Minister. The demands included the restoration of JDA Club, construction of culverts, repairs of street lights, repairs of roads, drains, improvement of water supply, creation of amenities like shopping complex, hospital, school, playground, development and maintenance of parks, improvement in working of super bazaar branch of the colony regular cleanliness of roads and drains, rationalization of user charges by the JMC, start of matador service and providing of electric wires and transformers.
The delegation also demanded construction of toilets for migrant laborers to save environment from pollution. The Minister assured the delegation that demands will be looked into.
