RN Tagore HSS celebrates 37th Foundation Day

JAMMU, May 9: RN Tagore Higher Secondary School, Nanak Nagar, Jammu celebrated its 37th Foundation Day with zeal and enthusiasm in the school premises which was decorated with multicoloured banners, buntings and balloons, here.
The ceremony was presided over by Parveen Akthar, Principal Govt Girls HSS, Shastri Nagar as the chief guest.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest and other dignitaries followed by Saraswati Vandana and cultural programme by the students of the school.
To bestow the deserving students with responsibility of leading the school from the front, an Investiture Ceremony was organized.
The Council comprised of Head Boy, Inderjeet Gill (XII); Head Girl, Tania Verma (XII); House Captains : Suhani (X), Deepali (X), Sukuriti (X) and Suneha(X); House Vice-Captains: Rakesh (IX), Deevam (IX), Sampan (IX) and Pavneet (IX); and perfects from each class.
Later the oath was administered to the newly elected student cabinet.
This event was followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony to all the position and distinction holders of class 8th (2018-19).
Rakesh Kumar and Deepali Verma have been awarded for securing 4th and 6th positions in class 8th respectively.
Pranav, Ritika, Muskan, Arjun, Sunil, Sahil, Sumit, Sneha, Kajal, Sampan, Bharti, Jiya, Pavneet are also awarded for securing distinctions in class 8th.
Chief guest Parveen Akthar appreciated the role of school in educating the masses and serving the society during the last thirty seven years.
Chairman of the school, Vishno Devi praised the organizers and congratulated the school management and staff members for successfully conducting the function.
Principal Dr Hitesh Mahajan during his address highlighted the role and hard-work of the Founder of the school, Late Mulkh Raj Gupta and Vishno Devi during all these years.
He congratulated the entire team of the Student Council and reminded them to honour the responsibility and trust bestowed upon them.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of National Anthem.
