JAMMU, Mar 3: PHE Employees United Front has expressed serious concern over bringing operational staff of PHE City Division-I, PHE City Div -II, Mech South and PHE Mech North Divisions under Jammu Municipal Corporation.
Talking to media-persons here today Subash Verma, senior member of the Front described this move of the Government and objectionable and highly unjustified. He said this decision of the Governmenthas badly affected the promotion avenues and prospects of the employees which was already under consideration by the Department.
Verma further said that employees have shown lot of apprehensions regarding their existing promotion rules and other services matters.
The United Front urged the Governor’s Administration to review its decision regarding transfer of Jal Shakti Divisions of Jammu City to Jammu Municipal Corporation and send PHE staff there ion deputation like R&B & Irrigational so that the seniority and lien, with regard to promotion system is not affected.
The leaders of the Front said that daily wagers and consolidated workers of the PHE/ Jal Shakti Department are the worst sufferers. They have been demanding their regularization and pending wages of about 70 months. Their future has been jeopardized. The Government must find out a permanent solution of their issue.
They further demanded creation of new posts of higher scale for the promotion of stagnated employees of all cadre of the Jal Shakti Department.
Senior members, Balwant Raj, K C Dubey, Ajay Sharma, Davinder Singh, Jyoti Kumar also spoke on the occasion.
