JAMMU, Aug 11: Panun Kashmir-an organization of displaced Kashmiri Pandits, today said that the return of migrants only possible when the homeland is carved out in Kashmir.
In a meeting of the organization held here today under the chairmanship of Dr Ajay Chrungoo, many PK activists /speakers presented their view point and took stock of the emerging socio-political scenario in the State. Dr Chrungoo expressed his displeasure over some recent developments taking place and said it seems majority of the society in Kashmir was in the grip of the forces who are in the forefront of `Jehad’ at the international level. It is sign of complete Islamisation and shrinking of space for the minorities of Kashmir. It has exposed their communalism under the guise of pseudo secularism.
D K Kaul, vice chairman of the body said that community should understand the gravity of the situation. The way situation is unfolding, it reveals the time has come to channelize all the resources of the community for achieving goal of homeland within Kashmir. The growing communalism and radicalization of the Kashmir Muslim society has converged the Kashmiri Pandit opinion towards the creation of homeland with free flow of Indian constitution and to reverse the holocaust and genocide once for all, Mr Kaul maintained.
General secretary Kuldeep Raina said, “PK is watching all the political and social developments taking place around and will not lower its guard and let the community be in a state of despondency and desperation.”
