UDHAMPUR, Feb 11: A meeting of J&K ReT Teachers’ Forum was held today at Ramnagar for highlighting various issues and demands of the ReT teachers.
Tehsil president Amit Sharma presided over the meeting, wherein State president Vinod Sharma was chief guest while State vice president Gulzabir Daing, State Chief Coordinator Sukhdev Singh Sumbria, State Chief Publicity Secretary Sham Sharma, District president Lekh Raj Parihar and senior leader Kuldip Kumar were special invitees. The meeting was attended by a large number of ReTs of tehsil Ramnagar.
While speaking on the occasion, Vinod Sharma highlighted the issue of SSA salary, which is pending for the last two months due to which families of SSA teachers are suffering badly and facing a lot of problem to meet their both ends. He urged the Education Minister to make provision for immediate release of the SSA salary and streamlining of the same so that thousands of SSA teachers may not suffer any more. Highlighting the issue of transfer of regularised ReTs, he said that in absence of transfer policy, Regularised ReTs were suffering badly as they have been working in the same schools for last more than 15 years. He urged the Education Minister to immediately issue orders of transfer policy for regularised ReTs as assured by him on the floor of the House to frame transfer policy for ReTs.
He also demanded the regularization of ReTs having qualification from recognised universities and boards including from NIOS and regularisation of ReTs having less enrollment in their schools as these teachers are waiting for the same for last 2 years.
While speaking on the occasion, Gulzabir Daing urged the Government to concede the genuine issues of ReT cadre, including release of Mid Day Meals dues.
District president Lekh Raj Parihar urged CEO Udhampur to grant post facto permission in favour of teachers who have applied for the same.
Others, who spoke on the occasion, included Sahil Samyal , Sabar Banday, Mohan Singh , Pankaj Thakur, Man Chand, Sham Singh , Pawan Singh, Viswa Nath, Parshotam Singh , Naveen Dogra, Nikhil Gupta, Neha Sharma, Indu Sharma and Rekha Kumari.
