A meeting of Channi Himmat Residents Association was held under the chairmanship of its president Adv VK Grover in which the members criticised the continuous failure of PDD to make any improvement in their system despite so many protests launched by the Association against the erratic power cuts.
“It should be a matter of serious concern for the UT Government that despite so much expenditure incurred from state exchequer in the name of modernization of the system and many times electronic meters have been replaced by the department concerned but nothing has been changed so far,” said Grover, adding that now, the department once again contemplating to changed the installed meters through IRCON company.
He said that due to unscheduled power curtailment the ailing old citizen as well as children were spending sleepless night in the humid scorching heat and department concerned seems least bothered about it, adding that the water supply was also adversely affected due to erratic power cuts.
