Regulate traffic

Sir,
The decision of the Government to enhance the Traffic Department’s vigil on the Jammu roads and extend the duty hours of the traffic cops is a decision in the right direction but that alone was not going to tackle the traffic mess on our roads. The ancillary reas0ns responsible for traffic accidents have got to be looked into by broad basing the approach. The encroachments on the roads, parking of vehicles on the sides of both roads choke the traffic system which by dint of there being the same length and breadth of the roads and the ever increasing traffic on them have to be looked into . Busy roads like Residency Road, Janipur, Gandhi nagar, Satwari, Jewell , Bikram chowk, Akhnoor Road need to be regulated and decongested. Even non busy roads like  Sarwal  and Jain Bazar, remain congested due to reckless parking on both sides of the road resulting in traffic congestions. Even going to Sarwal Hospital in emergency becomes difficult due to parking of vehicles on both sides of the road.
Yours etc….
