Rebel BJP MLAs meet Div Comm, express resentment

JAMMU, Aug 27: A delegation of BJP rebel MLAs led by MLA, Basohli Jagdish Raj Sapolia called on Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Shant Manu here today and expressed their resentment over ignoring their group which is the largest group of opposition MLAs from Jammu in recently held peace march at Kishtwar and also in all parties meet at Jammu.
The other members of the delegation included MLA RS Pura, Prof Garu Ram, MLA Reasi, Baldev Raj Sharma, MLA Bani Master Lal Chand and MLA Raipur Damana, Bharat Bushan alias Bodhi. They criticized the Government for not inviting their group in the peace rally and said that the leader of the group and former Union Minister Prof Chaman Lal Gupta who represented the Kathua Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency for three terms was also not invited which has generated a lot of resentment among them as well as people.
The MLAs also highlighted the burning problems of the people before the Divisional Commissioner and demanded that the losses suffered by them during recent rains and floods in Bani, Basohli, Hira Nagar, R S Pura, Reasi and Raipur Damana be assessed and compensation sanctioned.
They demanded that a high level team of revenue officers be constituted to assess the loss and relief be sanctioned on war footing basis to relieve the people of agony and sufferings in rain and flood hit areas.
They said the roads have been damaged completely at various places and the same be restored immediately.
