SRINAGAR, June 29: RCC Srinagar Reds registered a huge win over Downtown Warriors in the Shaheed-e-Milat T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Imperial Arts and Crafts at Islamia College Grounds, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, RCC Reds scored a decent total of 168 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 5 wickets in the process. Kaiser was top scorer with 30 runs, while Mudasir and Naseer contributed 28 runs each and Hashim chipped in with 22 runs. For Downtown Warriors, Sameer and Irfan took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Downtown Warriors bundled out for a paltry total of 68 runs in 15 overs, thus lost the match by a huge margin of 100 runs. None of the Warriors batsman could manage to give a recognized performance. For RCC Reds, Shabir was the pick of the bowlers, who scalped 4 important wickets, while Waris and Hashim claimed 2 wickets each. For his 4-wicket haul, Shabir was adjudged man of the match.
