RAJOURI, June 9: Senior BJP leader and former Jammu and Kashmir BJP president Ravinder Raina today asserted that enemies of the nation would not be spared under any circumstances and would be dealt with firmly.
Raina today paid rich tribute to Army officer Lieutenant Vireshwar Goswami, who laid down his life during an anti-terror search operation in the Dorimal forest area.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that Lieutenant Goswami made the supreme sacrifice while serving the nation and safeguarding its sovereignty.
Describing the fallen officer as a true patriot, he said his courage, dedication, and sacrifice would continue to inspire future generations.
Raina expressed confidence that the Indian Army would intensify its efforts against terrorism and continue its operations with greater determination to ensure peace and security.
Commenting on the situation in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK), he alleged that local residents were facing oppression and harassment at the hands of Pakistani authorities and security forces.
Raina claimed that serious human rights violations were taking place in the region, with people being subjected to intimidation and suppression.
The BJP leader further alleged that Pakistani security personnel had entered mosques and assaulted local religious leaders, terming the reported incidents deeply disturbing.
He said such actions amounted to grave violations of human rights and called upon the international community to take serious note of the developments.
Raina urged the United Nations to take strict action against Pakistan and ensure an impartial investigation into the alleged human rights violations in PoJK.
Reiterating the BJP’s commitment to the development, peace, and security of Jammu and Kashmir, the BJP leader said the government’s policy against terrorism and separatism would continue with full resolve and determination.
He affirmed that every effort would be made to strengthen peace, stability and progress in the Union Territory.
