Ranjit Parihar elected JEWA Udhampur District President

UDHAMPUR, Sept 1: Ranjit Parihar has been unanimously elected as the District President of the Judicial Employees Welfare Association J&K (JEWA), Udhampur, in the elections held today.

Along with Ranjit Parihar, Love Kumar was elected as General Secretary, while Shalinder Singh was elected as Treasurer of the district unit, both unopposed.

The election notification was issued by Sunit Thakur, Returning Officer, on August 20, 2026. The date for filing nominations was fixed as August 25, while the last date for withdrawal of nominations was August 27, 2026 .The polling was scheduled for September 1, 2026.

No candidate filed nomination papers against Ranjit Parihar for the post of District President. Consequently, he was declared elected unanimously and unopposed as District President of JEWA Udhampur. Similarly, Love Kumar and Shalinder Singh were elected unopposed as General Secretary and Treasurer respectively.

After his election, the newly elected District President Ranjit Parihar said that he would make every possible effort for the welfare, dignity and legitimate interests of judicial employees and assured that he would leave no stone unturned in addressing their genuine issues and concerns.
