In reply, Odisha were comfortably placed at 91/1 at stumps on day-1 today. Anurag Sarangi (56) and Debasish Samantray (20) were at the crease when the stumps were drawn today.
Earlier, winning th toss and batting first, Jammu and Kashmir batsmen struggled and failed to negotiate the medium pace duo of Suryakant Pradhan and Basant Mohanty, who took 7 wickets, with 4 and 3 respectively. J&K lost first 4 wickets for just 7 runs, then a partnership of 55 runs between Owais Shah (44) and Irfan Pathan (10) gave the score some respectability. None of the other batsmen could cross the double figure mark. Dhiraj Singh also took 2 wickets for Odisha.
