JAMMU, May 23: MLA Bahu, Vikram Randhawa here today started the much-awaited lane and drain construction work in Gorkha Nagar, Ward number 48 through his Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
The programme was attended by BJP Mandal president, Surjeet Singh, Kulveer Charak, Pankaj Bral, Karuna Chhettri, Nitesh Thappa, Munish, Oma Chhetri, Seema and several prominent locals of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that during his public outreach tour of Gorkha Nagar, he personally inspected the area and found the condition of lanes and drains in extremely poor state, causing great inconvenience to the public, particularly during rainy days.
Taking immediate cognizance of the matter, the MLA assured the public that the work would be taken up on priority basis through his CDF so that the people could get long-awaited relief. Fulfilling that commitment, the development work was formally started today.
Randhawa emphasized that proper utilization of CDF for public welfare and grassroots development remains his priority.
