JAMMU, Dec 31: Puneet Kumar scored magnificent 115 runs as KC Sports Club thrashed SCC by a huge margin of 193 runs in the T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by KC Sports Club at KC Public School ground, here.
Bating first, KC Sports Club scored a mammoth total of 240 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Puneet scored brisk 115 off 46 balls, studded with 7 fours and 12 sixes, while Arjun contributed 41 off 24 deliveries with 4 fours and 2 sixes. Sunny took one wicket for SCC.
In reply, SCC bundled out for a meagre total of 47 runs, thus lost the match by 193 runs. Sahilpreet and Tazamul scored 14 and 10 runs respectively. For KC Sports, Rahil Singh took 3 wickets, while Vishwajeet and Vivek bagged 2 wickets each. Puneet Kumar was adjudged man of the match.
In other match, YCC defeated WCC by 13 runs. Bating first, YCC scored 165 runs. Abhay Bakaya was the top scorer with 67 runs, while Kapil contributed 52 runs to the total. For WCC, Mohit and Rahul claimed one wicket each.
In reply, WCC managed to score 152 runs, thus lost the match by a narrow margin of 13 runs. Latief and Rahul contributed 34 and 30 runs to the total respectively. For YCC, Surjit, Romil and Kapil shared 2 wickets each. Kapil was declared man of the match.
In another match, Jumbo Gladiators defeated WCC by 23 runs in a tough contest. Jumbo Gladiators, batting first made a decent total of 168 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 3 wickets in the process. Parveen Singh was the top scorer with brilliant 85 runs, while Pranav Gupta scored magnificent 56 runs. For WCC, Nishad and Kamal Kishore took 2 and one wicket respectively.
In reply, WCC scored 145 runs to lose the match by 23 runs. Chetan (36), Manish Dogra (22) and Jatin (15) were the main contributors. For Jumbo Gladiators, skipper Sahil bagged 4 wickets, while Pranav and Raman Dutta took 3 wickets each.
