SRINAGAR, Mar 4: Residents of Pulwama Town today demanded that the work on Circular Road should be speeded up as it would ease the problem of traffic jam in the Township.
The residents said that even as the work is in final phase but it has slowed down due to unknown reasons. “If the work is completed on Circular Road and it is thrown open for the vehicles, the ongoing traffic jam problem in Pulwama Town would come to an end,” they said.
The residents urged the concerned Roads and Buildings Department officials to speed up the work and make it operation within shortest period of time. “No doubt the work is underway but is going on with slow pace,” they added.
When contacted, Junior Engineer, R&B Department, Gulzar Ahmad, said that they are trying their best to complete the work on the Road. “As you can see the work is going on 24*7. We are hopeful of completing it soon,” he added.
