Srinagar, June 26: Journalists and owners of newspapers and media houses today held a silent protest rally, demanding an independent, fair and credible probe into the killing of journalist Shujaat Bukhari.
They also demanded the Government to probe controversial remarks made by BJP MLA and former Minister Lal Singh recently on Kashmiri journalists.
The journalists assembled at Press Enclave and took out a rally before staging a sit-in protest at Ghata Ghar here.
A number of senior journalists also addressed the protesters and demanded independent, fair and credible probe into the Shujaat Bukhari’s killing.
