KISHTWAR, July 9: Police today arrested four persons involved in the sacrilegious act in Hadal Kontwara area of the district.
Report said that following sacrilegious act in the forest area of Hadal last night, large number of people of Kontwara held protest demonstration today. Joined by VHP and Bajrang Dal activists, the people held massive protest in front of Deputy Commissioner’s office demanding stern action against those who have hurt their religious sentiments.
It was only after the Deputy Commissioner assured the protesting people that stern action would be taken against those involved in the act that the protesters dispersed.
Later, police arrested four persons namely Bashir Ahmed, son of Mohd Subhan Lone, Gh Mohd, son of Mohammadu, Yusuf, son of Gh Mohd and Khursheed.
