KATHUA, Apr 15: The protest dharna in support of demands of terminated Paramedical Staff entered into 13th day, here today.
The employees selected under SRO-24 continued their silent protest in the premises of Medical College Hospital Kathua in support of their demands to get extension in jobs.
“We are fighting since last thirteen days to get justice. But unfortunately no one from Hospital authorities and no one from Govt is ready to listen to our problems, despite sitting in hot weather, the protesters said, adding the authorities are adopting use and throw policy.
They alleged that the discriminatory attitude towards Jammuites has not ended so far as the Kashmir based contractual Paramedical Staff is continuing to work. thier services .
“We are at a loss to understand as to why Government is not absorbing us on the posts lying vacant in Govt Medical College Kathua, especially at the time when the country is fighting against Covid-19 crisis,” protestors said.
They appealed to Lieutenant Governor, GC Murmu to make personal intervention
in the matter and issue order of their extension at an earliest.
