Srinagar, Mar 7: Dozens of residents today staged a protest against the non-completion of Fresipora-Gusso link road in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
The protesting residents said the work has been halted by the concerned authorities due to objection by two households having political links. “The work is pending since last three years and this is due to political approach of the households,” said the protesters.
They, the protesters, said the work on 200 meters is pending and if it is completed hundreds of people would be benefitted. “We are suffering because of these two households. This is utter injustice to make us hostage just because someone has political approach. We appeal higher ups to re-start the work on link road and complete it as soon as possible” the protesters added.
