JAMMU, Mar 30: The protest demonstration by the aspirants of Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) outside Maharaja Hari Singh Park here today entered day 9.
Today AAP leader, Partap Singh Jamwal along with Mahesh Bakshi, president CYSS also joined the protest of F&ES aspirants.
The protesters leveled allegations of mass copying, unfair means and irregularities during exams for recruitment in F&ES department for which they claimed that the Government took no action after which the aggrieved candidates approached court, which directed the Government to frame an inquiry panel.
The inquiry panel, headed by then Principal Secretary Home, J&K, Shaleen Kabra observed that large scale irregularities, mass copying and unfair means had taken place and submitted a report to the Government following which the examination conducted for the second time was cancelled again and the recruitment firm hired was blacklisted.
In 2020, the Government hired another agency LMES and before the conduct of examination the paper was allegedly leaked and sold openly in market for lakhs of rupees.
The selection list was issued on 3rd of October, 2020 and the appointments were made within three days to hush up the matter and close the recruitment at the earliest and appointments were made without any police verification.
A three-member panel was formed which was to give its report within a month by January 12, 2023 but the report is nowhere even after more than two months.
The protesters demanded that J&K administration should make the report public and urged upon the concerned authorities to come out with final decision on the issue so that their wait may come to an end.
Sushant Abrol, Vijay Deol, Ashwani Kumar, Sushant Mehra and others were also present in the protest.
