JAMMU, June 27: Under the banner of All J&K Polytechnics Academic Arrangements Association, the ongoing protest dharna at Exhibition Ground Jammu entered into 21st consecutive day of the agitation for regularization policy.
The class work remained suspended in all Polytechnics the academic staff of various colleges from Jammu division participated in the dharna at Exhibition Ground while the academic arrangement staff in Kashmir Division also continued sit in protest at Press Enclave Kashmir.
At Jammu, the protest dharna was addressed by Ankush Gupta, Sanjeev Choudhary, Pooja Gupta, Tarun Gupta and others, who justified the demand of regularization policy for the academic arrangements in Government Polytechnics.
They demanded that the academic arrangements should be regularized by including them into Jammu Kashmir Civil Services Act. “A regularization policy must be framed for academic arrangements of Government Polytechnics who have been rendering their services to the department for the last several years,” they stressed and warned to intensify the agitation if their demand is not conceded.
The others, who were present on the occasion, included Kanav Gupta, Ajay Chib, Rakesh Bhatt, Atul Kodhi, Gagan Partap, Harmeet Kour, Renu Kotwal, Itika Sharma, Pooja Gupta, Renuka Rajput, Noshiba, Ruchi Gupta, Shivali Sharma , Narrotam Sharma, Neena Gupta, Himani Dubey, Sunil Bhatti, Archana Razdan, Bhawana, Vidhu Puri and Dupinder.
