JAMMU, June 8: Prof Rajni Kant, Professor of Physics at the University of Jammu and Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (London), UK, has been conferred the Distinguished Researcher Award by the international agency Scientific Laurels.
Scientific Laurels is administered by Peritus Hive Research and Innovations, registered under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India. The award serves as a recognition of researchers who have made significant contributions in the fields of science and technology.
The award has been conferred upon Prof Rajni Kant in recognition of his scientific accomplishments and outstanding contribution in the field of Small Molecule Research in X-ray Crystallography, which falls under the broader ambit of Condensed Matter Physics.
Prof. Rajni Kant has guided 84 Ph.D. and M.Phil. scholars and has published more than 500 research papers in reputed international journals in the field of X-ray Crystallography. He has successfully executed 18 research projects sanctioned by major national funding agencies supporting scientific and technological research.
With 37 years of teaching experience and over 40 years of research experience, Prof. Rajni Kant has made notable contributions to higher education and scientific research. He has also served as the Vice-Chancellor of Rabindranath Tagore University, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
