JAMMU, July 23: Prof Poonam Dhawan today took over as Dean Academic Affairs of the University of Jammu as outgoing DAA Prof Neelam Saraf relinquished the office on completion of her term.
Prof Poonam Dhawan, assumed the charge in presence of JU Vice-Chancellor Prof R D Sharma, has 36 years of academic experience and rich administrative experience. She has also held several important assignments in the University.
Prior to her nomination as DAA, Prof Dhawan has also held the charge of Director, Competitive Examination Coaching Unit, Convener Board of Studies, and member of many important committees of UGC and University.
Prof Dhawan is also holding the charge of Director, Department of Life Long Learning and HoD M A Rural Development. She has been the founder Director of Centre for Women’s Studies, University of Jammu.
