Prof Lalit Magotra elected president of Dogri Sanstha

JAMMU, Feb 11: Prof Lalit Magotra was unanimously elected as president of Dogri Sanstha in triannual elections of this premier and oldest literary organization of the J & K State.
Dr Nirmal Vinod was also unanimously elected the general secretary while Prof Veena Gupta, Gianeshwar and Prof Shashi   Pathania were elected as vice- presidents. Dr Chanchal Bhasin, Vijaya Thakur, Susheel Begana and Madan Padha were elected as Secretary, Publicity Secretary, Literary Secretary and Treasurer, respectively.
The elections were held in Dogri Bhavan, Karan Nagar, Jammu, in which senior Advocate, Ashok Vijay Gupta acted as presiding officer.
Earlier, former president of the Sanstha, Chhatrapal, formally resigned along with all the previous office bearers at the completion of their term. Dr. Nirmal Vinod, who was the general secretary in the previous term   also,   read a report of the activities and achievements of Dogri Sanstha in the last three years.
After his election, Prof Magotra assured the members that the new team will make an all-out effort to achieve new heights and new mile-stones.
On the occasion, 12 numbers of Nami Chetna, the literary magazine of Dogri Sanstha were also released.
