JAMMU, July 7: Prof B N Tripathi, Vice Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu, has been elected Fellow of the prestigious Royal Society of Biology, United Kingdom, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to veterinary sciences, animal health, agricultural research and higher education.

A globally acclaimed academician and veterinarian, Prof Tripathi has held several key positions, including Deputy Director General, ICAR; Director, ICAR-National Research Centre on Camel; and Director, National Institute of Animal Health, Baghpat. He is already a Fellow of several reputed academies and societies, including the Royal College of Pathologists, London and the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, India.

He has authored over 250 research papers, six books, policy papers and national action plans, besides contributing to the development of diagnostics, patents and vaccines, including Lumpi-ProVac for Lumpy Skin Disease.
