JAMMU, Oct 27: Prize distribution function was organised at Mata Sarswati Pustakaalya by Helpline Humanity-a digital library-cum-book bank at Jagti Nagrota, here today.
During the function, the meritorious students of different fields including academic, debate and painting were awarded with cash prizes and certificates.
In academic field, Kasak Bhat, Akansha, Rahul Raina, Shinali Raina, Arun Pandita, Simriti Raina and Mehak Raina of class 12th whereas Divya Bhat and Nitin Bhat of class 10th were awarded for securing more than 90 percent marks by the chief guest of the function.
Sanjana Tickoo, Shiren Bhan and Bhavika Bhat were awarded for clinching 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions in online junior debate competition while Netra Hakhu, Ojasvi Raina and Yashika have been awarded for securing 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes in senior debate competition.
In junior online painting competition, Samaksh Mattoo, Deepshika and Saumil Koul were awarded for securing first three prizes whereas Kamar Arjit Mishra, Chiyanka Sharma and Santoshi Raina were awarded for bagging first three positions in senior painting competition.
Sangeeta Shishoo and volunteers of the HH were awarded with Corona Warrior Award.
The program started with welcome address by Omesh Raina, vice-president of the Helpline Humanity (HH) while Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, TK Bhat was the chief guest and Rajnesh Kapoor, Deputy Director Planning was the guest of honour.
Rakesh Pandita gave brief description about the activities carried out by the HH during the current year. The stage was managed by Jitendra Jotshi.
