JAMMU, May 13: Presentation Convent School (PCS) girls clinched both under-14 and under-17 Handball titles in the two-day inter-school district level girls’ competitions held at MA Stadium, here under the banner of Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS).
In under-14 final, PCS defeated Army Public School (APS) Domana 5-1. Similarly, in under-17 category, the PCS girls trounced the same opponent in APS Domana 5-2 to make it a clean sweep in Handball.
Meanwhile, in girls Softball event, Carmel Convent defeated DBN 5-2 in under-14 category. In under-17 age group, again Carmel Convent emerged winner outplaying MRLD 8-5 in the final.
The events officiated by the technical penal comprising Taqdir Singh, Anil Gandotra, Anil Sharma, Jyoti Sharma, Gourav Sharma, Harvinder Singh and Varinder Singh.
Meanwhile, boys’ under-14 and under-17 Hupkwando competition will start at Government Boys Higher Secondary School (GBHSS) Gandhi Nagar, here tomorrow.
