‘Premature transfers in PSUs effecting affairs of Corporations’

JAMMU, Apr 27: J&K State Public Sector Employees and Workers Federation has alleged that premature transfers of Managing Directors of the Corporations are effecting the affairs of  various PSUs.
In a meeting of State Public Sector Employees and Workers Federation held here today under the chairmanship its Federation president Wajahat Hussain the members expressed serious concern over the deteriorating condition in in the Corporations due to frequent pre-mature transfers of the MDs.
He said this emerging system is deteriorating  health of Public Sector Undertakings. It was impressed  upon the Govt  to frame policy with regard to revival of  Public Sector Undertakings.
It was  observed during the course of discussions that Government is non-seriousness towards the (PSUs) with particular reference of changing their HoD’s/MD’s prematurely which is badly effecting the functioning of such Departments.
The J&K Tourism Development Corporation (JKTDC) employees are suffering in terms of financial losses and in the absence of 6th Pay Commission, DA arrears and retired benefits. The present Managing Director Dr Shahid Iqbal Chowdhary, is running the Corporation affairs efficiently and effectively.
The Federation members appealed to the  State Government not to disturb such kind of Managing Directors who have positive frame of mind towards the development of the Department. In the meeting an appeal was made to the Government not to transfer this MD prematurely so that the JKTDC Corporation can save from any huge losses  in future.
The Strike called by Medical Employees Federation led by Shabir Ahmad Langoo was also discussed in the meeting and it has unanimously decided to support employees of Medical Federation and appealed to Government  to address the genuine demands of Medical Employees.
The meeting was also attended  by Basharat Saleem, Mohd Shafi Shaidah, Reyaz Ahmad Mir, Gulzar Ahmad, Abdul Aziz, Sajad Ahmad, Khalid Ahmad Rather, Bashir Ahmad  and others.
