JAMMU, May 26: In connection with inauguration of newly constructed building of Prem Sangeet Niketan a pooja was performed as per the Gurkul traditions here today.
A simple but impressive function was organized by the Prem Sangeet Niketan in this connection which was presided over by its president Pran Nath Pandita.
The building along with all furnished items has been constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 30 lakh and it will soon have a mini auditorium of its own, said Mr Pandita.
He said it will emerge as a prime institute of music in the State and all efforts are being made in this regard.
The Prem Sangeet Niketan is affiliated with Gandarava Maha Vidalaya which is the part of Vishno Digamber University of Music.
The Niketan will start vocational classes and degree in music. The examinations will be conducted through Gandarava University, Mr Pandita said.
A large number of art lovers and members of the Prem Sangeet attended the function.
