JAMMU, May 15: In compliance to the provisions of CERC order, connection agreement in respect of 540 MW Chamera-1 HPS, 390 MW Dulhasti HPS, 690 MW Salal HPS, 480 MW Uri HPS and 300 MW Chamera-II were signed between Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, Central Transmission Utility and NHPC.
The agreement was signed by SK Sharma, Executive Director, Northern Region-II on behalf of Power Grid and S Kalgaonkar, Executive Director (T&RE) on behalf of NHPC in presence of senior executives from both the organizations.
As per the order of CERC, generating companies for those generating stations commissioned prior to January 1, 2010, have to sign the connection agreement with Power Grid. As per the agreement signed responsibilities of both generating companies and CTU have been finalized in respect of these generating stations.
AK Pal, GM (AM) Power Grid, SD Joshi, GM Projects Power Grid, Mastan Singh, NHPC were among prominent persons present on the occasion.
