JAMMU, Nov 11: Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School Jeevan Nagar organised inter-school poster making competitions on ‘Eco Friendly Diwali’ and ‘World Freedom Day’, here today.
Students of five schools namely Shiksha Niketan School (SNS) Jeevan Nagar, R M Public School, Shiksha Niketan High School Gandhi Nagar Jammu Sanskrit School and Blooming Dale participated.
The motive behind this competition was to create awareness among students regarding celebration of ‘Eco – friendly Diwali’ and also to aware them about adverse effects of pollution caused by the use of crackers.
1st position was shared by Varnika Sharma of Jammu Sanskrit’s School and Hargun Singh of Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School Jeevan Nagar whereas 2nd position was bagged by Nidhi of Blooming Dale Public High School and 3rd position was clinched by Aarav Kumar of RMPS.
The competition was adjudged by Priyanka Rana (Art and Craft teacher) of Blooming Dale Public High School, Nanak Nagar.
Siya Sharma of SNS Jeevan Nagar bagged 1st position while second position was clinched by Pavani Gupta of SNS Gandhi Nagar and Stuti of RMPS secured third position in poster making competition on World Freedom Day.
