KATHUA, May 23: Continuing its drive against illegal mining, police has seized seven vehicles i.e (03 JCB’s, 01 Dumper and three Tractor Trolleys) in the jurisdictional areas of Police Station (PS) Bani (Gatti) and Rajbagh (Chadwal) which were being used for illegal mining/transportation of the construction material without A Form.
Police said in the first instance, on Friday its team led by SHO PS Bani under the guidance of DySP Operations Bani while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area at Gatti, has seized total six vehicles i.e ( three JCB’s, one Dumper and two Tractors along with Trolleys) indulged in illegal mining / transportation of construction material without any legal permission.
While in the second instance the police team led by in charge Police Post (PP) Chadwal under the guidance of SDPO Border and SHO, PS Rajbagh during patrolling duty seized one tractor along with trolley loaded with construction material without any valid permission.
Thereafter all the seven vehicles have been seized by Police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Kathua for further legal action.
