JAMMU, Dec 10: The Nawabad Police on the directives of the CJM Jammu has registered a FIR Number 191 against a doctor of a private clinic of Talab Tillo for the death of a Mendhar youth who was operated upon in the clinic on November 10.
Sub Inspector Showkat Amin was deputed by the Police to conduct the inquiry of the case.
According to police Parvez Ahmed, son of Mohammed Tufeel of Harmutta Gursai in Mendhar tehsil of Poonch district and a student of B A Part first suffered some pain during the army recruitment in Poonch last month and his parents shifted him to Jammu for treatment.
They took him to a surgeon who advised him immediate operation which was conducted in a private clinic by him in Talab Tillo area. However the condition of the patient deteriorated and he was referred by the doctor to GMC Jammu for treatment where two more operations were conducted on him by the doctors. However the patient did not survive and breathed his last yesterday.
The father of the deceased youth said that his son died due to the negligence of the doctor who operated him in private clinic and he approached the district administration Jammu demanding probe into the death of his son. Later he also approached the Court of CJM Jammu seeking directives to police for registering the FIR against the doctor.
