Police pays floral tribute to 4 policemen killed in militant attack in Shopian

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday paid floral tribute to four policemen, who were killed in a militant attack in south Kashmir district of Shopian.

A police spokesperson here said a wreath laying ceremony was held in District Police Lines Shopian where floral tributes were paid to Abdul Majeed Ganaie, Mehraj-ud-din Dar, Anees Ahmad Mir and Hameed-ullah Ganaie, who were martyred in a militant attack on a police point at Zainapora in Shopian.

“Civil and Police officers, including Munir Ahmed Khan, ADGP (Security/Law & Order/HG), IGP Kashmir S P Pani, DIG South Kashmir Range (SKR) Amit Kumar laid floral wreaths on the mortal remains and paid rich tributes to the martyrs who made supreme sacrifice in the line of duty,” he said. (AGENCIES)
