Police arrests 2 perpetrators of crime against women

SAMBA, July 21: Samba police has apprehended two perpetrators of crime against women including one rape accused.
Police said one rape accused, who allegedly committed rape on a minor girl, has been apprehended in case FIR No.178/2023 U/S 376, 452 IPC, 4 POCSO Act by Police Station (PS) Samba while another accused namely Kuldip Singh alias Bittu Singh, son of Faquir Singh of Gujwal tehsil and district Samba, who along with a notorious criminal allegedly committed criminal act on a woman after causing wrongful restraint has been arrested in case FIR No.181/2023 U/S 341, 354, 504 IPCP/S Samba.
The arrests were made under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police Samba, Benam Tosh.
Benam Tosh said that police taking strong action against perpetrators of crime against women in Samba district and those who commit crime against women of cognizable nature are being immediately arrested after collection of evidence without giving them time to escape.
