SAMBA, Nov 25: Punjab National Bank (PNB) with its initiative to reach out to the rural areas of the State opened its new branch at Vijaypur.
The branch was inaugurated by Mohammad Latif Mir, Deputy General Manager, Circle Head J&K Operations who was accompanied by CL Gandhi, Block Development Officer (BDO) Vijaypur.
While speaking, Mir said that the area of Vijaypur is a hub of business activities which caters to the whole of the Samba district and other part of the State.
The focus of the branch will be to provide credit facilities through its various schemes to the people as per their requirements through this branch, he added.
He informed that the newly opened branch will provide unmatched techno-driven services like ATM cum Debit Card, Anytime Anywhere Banking and Net Banking to the customers of the Bank.
The branch will address the day to day banking needs of the people and will help all needy persons engaged in micro activities of the area, Mir informed.
CL Gandhi said that the branch will be great help to the people who intend to avail credit facility.
Among others present were RVS Jasrotia, Chief Manager Circle Office, SS Chib, District Coordinator PNB, Madan Lal Sharma, Manager BO Vijaypur, ML Sharma, senior Manager Marketing, Satish Khajuria, general secretary, PNB Officers Union, Uma Kant, President PNB Officers Association, villagers and staff members of the Bank.
