PM steadfast to develop cultural, religious heritage: BJP

JAMMU, Dec 8: Giving due recognition to the rich cultural and religious heritage of ancient India, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is making all committed efforts to develop Indian cultural and religious heritage on most modern lines, said BJP leaders while appealing masses to witness Divya Kashi, Bhavya Kashi live program on December, 13.
J&K BJP in charge of “Divya Kashi, Bhavya Kashi” and religious and social organization, Th. Narain Singh along with co-incharge, Mayor, JMC Chander Mohan Gupta, co-incharge, H S Pammi and member Bharat Bhushan Sharma while addressing a press conference here today said Kashi has influenced Indian culture and civilization from ancient times.
BJP leaders said that Kashi is a very ancient city, situated on the banks of Mother Ganga. It is considered one of the holy ‘Saptpuris’. The mention of this great city is found in many texts including Rigveda, Skanda Purana, Ramayana and Mahabharata and Matsya Purana. Now, PM is fulfilling the dream of “Divya Kashi, Bhavya Kashi”.
Among the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, the wonderful works of beautification and overall development of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, are being inaugurated by the Narendra Modi on December, 13, they said.
