Recently, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced much awaited financial package for Jammu and Kashmir amid much applause from people who came in large numbers to listen in Srinagar. The package is historic in various terms and if used efficiently will help the State come out of economic crisis. The State has huge potential in various sectors but due to political crisis it faced, it is far behind than other States of India in various fields. But thanks to the will of peace loving people of the State and various initiatives of the Central and State Government the State is slowly moving on the path of development and the overall situation has also improved. The package should be used keeping in view aspirations of three regions of the State and efforts be made to mitigate the sense of discrimination amongst the people of Jammu and Ladakh. Rehabilitation of displaced people, flood victims, refugees and creating employment avenues for unemployed youth should be made main focus. For Government, initiatives to achieve success participation and cooperation of people of all sections is needed. Apart from this, firm action should be taken against the separatists and anti national elements who in collaboration with enemy are indulging in anti social and anti national activities. Nobody should be allowed to hijack the agenda of peace so that the State gains its lost glory and turns into a real paradise on earth.
