UDHAMPUR, Dec 8: The monthly meeting of the district Udhampur unit of Plus 2 Lecturers’ Forum was held, here today under the chairmanship of Arunesh Kumar, district president, for deliberating the burning problems being faced by the Plus 2 cadre and the current scenario of the School Education.
The meet demanded that All J&K +2 Lecturers’ Forum and other teachers’ bodies should also be invited to make suggestions with regard to the new Education Policy so that a rational and efficient policy comes into being.
Demands highlighted in the meeting, included; filling up of the vacant posts of Principals, Lecturers, Masters, Teachers and other non teaching staff for the smooth functioning of the educational institutions, non-vacational status for 10 + 2 Principals, parity in the pay scale of lecturers in Physical Education, restoration of 40 percent promotional quota to Higher Education, issuance of the list of promotion of Lecturers to Senior Lecturers and Senior Lecturers to Principals, enhancement of grade pay of Principals at par with their counter parts in JNVs & KVs; appointment of Chairman JKBOSE, regularization of I/C Joint Directors, I/C CEOs, I/C Principals, left out I/C Lecturers in the School Education Department, re-organization of the Directorate of School Education etc.
Prominent among those who addressed the meeting included Ashok Sharma, Ashwani Sharma, Rakesh Gupta, Joginder Gupta, Ravi Kanchan, Mohan Lal Sharma, Jatinder Sharma, Brij Mohan Verma, Pawan Kumar, Parjesh Kumar, Kasturi Lal, Mohan Lal, Rajinder Gupta, Bhim Sein, Varinder Kumar and others.
