JAMMU, Feb 13: A delegation of All J&K Plus-2 Lecturers’ Forum called on Minister for Education Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari and discussed various issues confronting Plus-2 community and sought his personal intervention in redressal of the same.
The delegation, under the chairmanship of Deepak Sharma, president of the Forum, hoped that as announced in the budget proposal, the Government will soon give practical shape to the Running Grade/Time Bound Promotion in favour of Plus-2 Lecturers.
The delegation also demanded regularization of all incharge incumbents, including Joint Directors and equivalents, CEOs and equivalents, Principals and Lecturers pending for years together.   The Forum also sought Minister’s personal intervention in release of Promotion Lists of Principals and Sr Lecturers at the rate of 1/3rd of the cadre strength.
The delegation also demanded fixation of Induction Quota in favour of Plus-2 Lecturers to KAS cadre and repatriation of Joint Directors from KAS cadre working in Education Department to their parent cadre.
Besides, the delegation also demanded issuance of formal order for exemption of Plus-2 Lecturers from SRO-202 as per Cabinet decision at the earliest. Other demands, raised during the meeting, included; non vacational status to the Principals, restoration of 40 percent college quota and removal of pay anomalies and regularization of Physical Education Lecturers.
The Minister assured to consider all the pending demands. On the occasion, the invited the Education Minister in the Annual Lecturers Day, which shall be held on suitable day in the month of April.
The delegation comprised of N S Jamwal, Anil Sharma, Amin Shah, Pardeep Singh, R S Salathia and Fazal Hussain.
