SRINAGAR: Security forces foiled a plan to cause disturbances during the assembly polling in Kulgam district today when they arrested a a person and recovered a hand grenade, a police spokesman said here this afternoon. He said a joint operation was launched at Kulgam by state police, 9 Rashitriya Rifles (RR) and 18 batallion CRPF at Kulgam.
During the operation one Bilal Ahmad Sheikh was arrested after a hand grenade was recovered from his possession. He was being questioned, he said adding police has registered a case against him.
