JAMMU, Apr 28: Outplaying the Department of Law by 14 runs in the semifinal, the Law School, University of Jammu entered the finals of the Inter-Department Cricket Tournament at University grounds, here today.
Earlier, batting first, Law School scored a decent total of 171 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 7 wickets in the process. Gaurav Khajuria top scored with 68 runs, while Sahil Sharma contributed 49 runs to the total. Viren and Sohail chipped in with 24 and 16 runs respectively. For Law Department, Sheraz took 3 wickets, while Vikram claimed two.
In reply, Law Department made 157 runs to lose the match by a narrow margin of 14 runs. Arun was the top scorer with 72 runs, while Dalbir Singh, Akash and Rokmesh Singh contributed 18, 12 and 11 runs respectively. Gourav took 2 wickets from Law School, while Sohit, Sahil and Yashuvardhan claimed one wicket each.
