PHE workers’ body projects demands

JAMMU, Aug 24: PHE Workers Welfare Association (Jammu province) has urged upon the higher authorities to address the pending issues of the workers.
In a meeting of the workers held under the leadership of Subhash Verma, general secretary, the members projected and discussed their long pending demands. They criticized the Government and concerned PHE Minister and Commissioner Secretary for their failure to address their genuine issues. They alleged that despite assurance by the Minister the demands were not resolved.
They demanded release of pending wages of the workers, regularization of daily wagers, hike in the daily wage rates, infrastructure at water pumping and supply stations, repair of quarters and old pumping  stations, conduct of DPC of all cadre and timely disbursement of salaries.
Prominent among those present in the meeting included- Surjit Singh, Manzoor Ali, Kulbhushan Nanda, Yash Paul Singh, Ch Mohd Shahfi, Ram Parkash and Lal Chand.
