People protest against CAPD in Poonch, Rajouri

RAJOURI, Mar 10: The people  today held protest demonstration in Rajouri town  and also at Chandimarh in Surankote area of district Poonch against the CAPD authorities.
In Rajouri town, a large number of people led by local leader,  Yogesh Sharma took out protest march from Bus Stand and shouting slogans against CAPD, they moved to the Tehsil office complex. They were seeking withdrawal of National Food Security Act. They alleged that there was already shortage of ration and people will further suffer with this Act.  After holding protest for about half an hour in tehsil complex, they dispersed.
At Chandimarh near Bafliaz in Poonch, the people closed shops and came out on the main road to lodge their protest  against CAPD authorities.  A large number of villagers  from adjoining areas also joined them. They alleged that due to non-supply of ration, they are facing lot of hardships. They also demanded opening of  Mughal Road. The market remained closed for about three hours. Later, police party and TSO rushed there and on their assurance, they lifted dharna on the road.
