SAMBA, June 1: The irate residents of Bari Brahmana, Ward No 7 and adjoining areas protested at SIDCO Chowk and blocked the Jammu –Pathankot National Highway for three hours today in protest against the death of a person who was hit by a vehicle one month ago at Bari Brahmana.
The protestors in large numbers reached the SIDCO Chowk and blocked the NH for three hours.
As per reports a youth was injured on in between May 4 and 5 in a road mishap at Bari Brahmana.
He was identified as Paras Gandhi, S/o Bal Krishan Gandhi, R/o Ward No 7, Bari-Brahmana. He died at GMC Jammu yesterday where he was admitted for treatment.
Today the inhabitants of Ward No 7 Bari Brahmana and adjoining areas protested and blocked the Highway for three hours. The road block was lifted only after the SDM Vijaypur reached the spot and assured the protestors that their demand will be fulfilled.
