JAMMU, Oct 11: Bishnah police arrested a pedestrian along with large quantity of illicit liquor pouches.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Bishnah police station raised a naka at Sikandarpur Kothey and intercepted a pedestrian on suspicious grounds.
During checking, police recovered 60 pouches of illicit liquor from his possession and nabbed him on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Rakesh Kumar, son of Chaman Lal, a resident of Sikandarpur Kothey.
A case under FIR Number 151/15 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered against the accused at Bishnah police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bishnah police station Inspector Surinder Pal Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Harjeet Singh, SP Headquarters Randheer Singh and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
