JAMMU, July 12: Police arrested a pedestrian along with Heroin from Shakti Nagar area, falling under the jurisdiction of Bakshi Nagar police station.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Bakshi Nagar police station laid a naka at Shakti Nagar and intercepted a pedestrian.
During checking, police recovered 2 grams Heroin from the possession of the man and arrested him on the spot.
The accused has been identified as Vinod Kumar, son of Joginder Pal, a resident of Dogra Hall.
A case under FIR Number 123/16 under Section 8/21 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against the accused at Bakshi Nagar police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Bakshi Nagar Inspector Ashwani Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Nikhil Rasgotra and SP City Dr Vinod Kumar.
